Öz

Die Türkei steht seit  Jahren vor der Tür der EU, sucht eine Vollmitgliedschaft nach. Die Türkei wird heute mit anderen Staaten, die der Europäischen Union (EU) beigetreten sind, verglichen und darauf behauptet, dass nur ein kleiner Teil der Türkei in Europa liegt, und die Türkei eher moslemisch geprägt ist. Bei der Analyse wird auf drei Fragen Bezug genommen; Stellt die Grenze der Türkei wirklich ein Problem für die EU dar? Passen die EU und die Türkei kulturell zusammen? Was bedeutet die Europäische Identität und ist ein EU-Beitritt der Türkei mit der Europäischen Identität vereinbar? Diese Fragen stehen oft in europäischer Tagesordnung. Diese Fragen suchen seit Jahren eine Antwort, aber bis heute wurden keine Antwort gefunden. In dieser Arbeit wird diesen Fragen mit verschiedenen Argumentationen geantwortet und analisiert.

Türkiye'nin Üyeliği açısından Avrupa Birliği'nde Sınır Tartışmaları

Türkiye yıllardır Avrupa Birliği kapısında tam üyelik aramaktadır. Son zamanlarda Türkiye Avrupa Birliği'ne katılan üye devletler ile karşılaştırılarak, Türkiye'nin sadece küçük bir parçasının Avrupa Birliği sınırları içerisinde bulunduğu ve aslen Türkiye'nin Asya'ya ait olduğu, ayrıca Türkiye'nin bir İslam ülkesi olduğu ileri sürülmektedir. Bu çalışmada çeşitli cevap arayan sorular üzerinde durularak bu sorular cevaplandırılmaya çalışılmaktadır:  Türkiye'nin sınırları Avrupa Birliği'ni bir sorun teşkil eder mi? Türkiye kültürel bakımından Avrupa Birliği'ne uygun mudur? Avrupa Birliği'nin kimlik anlayışı nedir ve Türkiye'nin yeri nedir? Bu sorular sürekli Avrupa Birliği'nin gündeminde olup, yıllardır cevap aramaktadır. Bu sorular yıllardır tartışılmasına rağmen bir türlü cevap bulamamıştır. Bu çalışmada bu sorular çeşitli deliller cevaplandırılmaya çalışılmakta ve analiz edilmektedir.

The Debate over the Borders of the European Union in View of the Turkeys' Membership

Turkey has been trying to join the EU for years. By comparing Turkey with the member countries, it is put forward that just a small portion of Turkey is included within the boundaries of the union, hence belonging to Asia and that it is a Muslim country. In this study, the following questions on the topic waiting for answers are intended to be replied: Do the boundaries of Turkey matter for the EU? Is Turkish culture convenient with the European one? What is the identity conception of the union and what is the place of Turkey? Such question has been looking for answers for years.
